Another season of exhaustion in the Iowa Legislature.

I’m on the road today for two family funerals. It’s cold in Iowa, a frost warning in effect. I’m exhausted.

The Iowa Legislature wrapped up their session with an all-nighter. They managed to gut our DEI education at public universities (save for anything mandated by accreditation). Our social work licensing was combined with other behavioral health board in the name of efficiency.

“Efficiencies”. That word. It implies so much, yet it never achieves what it implies.

I will probably write more on this, but today I’m just focusing on anything else. Other than writing this between chapters of my library book.
